I joined Facebook the other day... I guess I'm old because I'm not sure that I get it.
It has been nice connected with some folk that I haven't seen in a long time.

Thin Places - those places or events in life where the dividing line between the holy and the ordinary is very thin... to the point that the ordinary becomes holy and the holy becomes ordinary

So did I, just over a week ago. It was mostly because a particular group network this way, and it's helping me find a way to reach people I'd otherwise find difficult to talk with.
It's nice as an electronic address books of sorts and very good for events information.
But, being sent virtual pot plants is kinda stupid.
I mainly did it because most of our youth use it as their primary means of communication. For which it is a great tool. Plus, I've connected with family and former co-workers all over the world, which is nice.
My blog automatically updates Twitter, which updates Facebook.
