a favorite (mis)quote

It is often attributed to Hunter S. Thompson, and actually is a misquote of something he wrote about the television business in 1988.

I don't know anything about the television business, but it certainly fits the music business...

Roy, along the music lines, I heard a story about Miles David today on NPR and he was talking about being asked to play music from "Kind of Blue" over and over after 10 years.

he said that for him, he had to be free to create and if people wanted to "Kind of Blue" buy the album.

I liked that thought about free to create.
